How are Five Sisters Tiles
displayed?
Five
Sisters Tiles are displayed as Fine Art. We recommend hanging
your tile in a safe area or propping it on a plate stand. Both
exhibiting techniques work beautifully. The tiles are hand
painted especially for you. Protect your tile from heat, do
not use as a hot plate or trivet and exhibit with care. The
wall mounting is provided to you.
Can I use my Five Sisters
Tile Outside?
Yes, please
specify when ordering if your tile will be used outside. A
special exterior waterproofing glaze will be applied to the
tile. Many people order tiles as address plates and for
covered porches. The tiles are a wonderful way to greet your
incoming guests.
How can I use Five Sisters Tiles to Decorate my home?
§
Collecting
Many
people collect tiles as art forms. Some display their tiles as
borders around a room or hall. Others display groupings of
tiles in a cluster format to break up a wall space or
expansive area. Our tiles can be handed down through
generations as heirlooms and special keepsakes.
§
Children’s Rooms
Our
tiles are often used as playful and whimsical images to
decorate children’s rooms. Some costumers send us swatches of
fabric or paint and we craft the tiles to complement their
personal décor.
§
A Tile Series
A
Tile series’ is a grouping of multiple tiles to be hung
together that share a common theme or idea. Examples of this
are our sports series and insect series. Tile series’ are a
popular way to exhibit our work and add a major punch to a
room.
§
In a Powder Room
or Foyer
A
powder room is a great place to hang a botanical or garden
themed tile. Other themes can be used to make your space more
intimate and a real pleasure to frequent. Many people display
their tiles in an entrance way or foyer. The Family Name Tiles
with the est. date are an extremely popular look to
personalize your home.
§
Seasonal Themes
Seasonal Tiles are a great way to transform the décor in your
home for a holiday or change of season. With every season,
there are images that we love to admire. Winter themes could
consist of adorned topiaries, candles, or wreaths and the
start of a new year. Spring brings us colorful botanicals or
garden themes; Summer themes are about the outdoors and the
love of landscape. Fall lends us the rich color schemes of
turning foliage and our earth.
